Harlembased Image Cooperative was formed in March 2023 to foster collaborative efforts among photographers and artists involved in documenting the African Diaspora and the Harlem Experience. The organic connection between media, art, and technology provides multiple challenges and opportunities, especially for senior members of our community who may have great libraries, and are trying to get them exposed and preserved. Harlembased Cooperative is committed to enabling these processes as well as the documentation of current and future events. There are 3 components of the gallery: Harlembased Image Archives, Individual Collections and Special Projects. The Archives are composed of images that meet our archive categorization requirements. Individual Collections may cover the entire body of work of a photographer. Special Projects are detailed collections that merit their own representation.

Every month we feature a gallery collection that can be accessed above.

Full resolution images are available without watermarks for modest costs. Harlembased is also available to cover events and individual rrequirements such as portraits, real estate and commercial photography.
